Pertinently, Waseem Muhammad Tokhar (24) an ambulance driver by profession died on Tuesday morning at his home in Shouch village in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district. The family claimed that Waseem had suffered serious pellet injuries on 7 September when Government Forces used force to foil ‘Marhama Chalo’ call. Police in a handout said that, “Waseem  was found unconscious at Baitul Hilal Yateem foundation Chawalgam and was brought to District hospital Kulgam by his friends where doctors declared him brought dead.”unnamed (9)

Refuting the police claim, the father of the slain youth said that he has all the prescriptions of doctors of different hospitals who treated his son and they all prove that Waseem had received pellet injuries. “I will show him his X-rays and prescriptions and in fact a few days back a private clinic at Anantnag had conducted an X-ray of his pellet wounds,” he said.
